God is at work not only in the good, but especially in the
painful, when all hope is apparently lost. We take heart
in the promise that God embraces us in all the losses we
experience. Faith cannot be judged by its present
outcomes.

L: Praise the Lord, who does not hide when we seek his face.
P: Praise the Lord, who hears our cry and answers when we call.

Bertie Showers, Keo and Tahn Sixiengmay (new great-grandparents), Julie's sister Phyllis, The Mennonite Center in the Ukraine, and all the displaced peoples
MMN: Mennonite Mission Network requests prayer for La Casa Grande (The Large House), a Christian community for children in Benin who have nowhere else to go. Pray for the children and teachers as they return to classes at Les Leaders (The Leaders), a school on La Cassa Grande's campus that also welcomes children from the neighboring communities.
Prayers for Mennonite Education-Bethel College, North Newton, KS: Bethel College will be hosting the Kansas Music Teachers Association meetings Sept. 16-17. Pray for Christina Liu, professor of piano pedagogy, as she plans and organizes the event. Dock Mennonite Academy, Lansdale, PA: Pray for our new employees as God leads them on a new journey here at Dock Mennonite Academy. Also pray for returning employees as they prepare to meet the new students in their classes this year and share Jesus with each of those students and their families.

Community Fest @ Sugarcreek: Is brought to you by local churches is set for Saturday, September 17 from noon to 6:00 p.m. on the campus of Dutch Valley Restaurant. there will be bounce houses, balloon artists, face painting, door prizes, family games and live worship music. A canned food drive to benefit Harbor of Hope at Barrs Mill Church of God will be held.
